BJP’s Tamilisai Soundararajan accused Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin of misleading people
Chennai: BJP leader Tamilisai Soundararajan said he will continue to protest in 2026 and accused Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin of misleading people with language-based politics. “Prime Minister Modi returned from Sri Lanka after resolving the fishermen’s issues and ensuring such problems don’t arise again,” BJP leader Tamilisai Soundararajan told the media report.

Regarding the concerns of the fisherman, Soundararajan promised that they will not recur.
“The Chief Minister (MK Stalin) ought to have greeted him,” she said. However, he chose to unwind in Ooty instead. Was it required? Should the Chief Minister be on holiday in Ooty while the Prime Minister travels to Tamil Nadu? Rather than greet the Prime Minister, the Chief Minister purposefully opted to unwind at Ooty. Tamil culture has been welcomed and encouraged by the prime minister. Political leaders in Tamil Nadu should get used to writing in their own tongue and adopting Tamil names, he said unequivocally. Politics based on language can no longer deceive people. Allow the Chief Minister to weep; he will still do so in 2026.
MK Stalin, the chief minister, came under fire from Soundararajan for failing to greet the prime minister on his visit to Tamil Nadu. The Chief Minister said that it was “unnecessary” to go to Ooty to unwind instead.
She also said that the prime minister wants politicians to adopt Tamil names and language since he respects Tamil culture.
“During his journey to Ooty, the chief minister said he did nothing for the Tamil Nadu people. However, the Prime Minister also provided Rs 8,000 crore in development projects for Tamil Nadu. “The dugout is being discussed by someone who is going to be knocked out,” Soundararajan said.
She emphasized that the Prime Minister had announced development projects worth Rs 8,000 crore for the state, notwithstanding Stalin’s accusation that the PM had done nothing for the Tamil Nadu people during his visit to Ooty.
“CM K Chandrashekar Rao boycotted Prime Minister Modi when he brought good schemes to Telangana,” she remarked, citing Telangana as an example. Telangana residents boycotted him in the election in retaliation. Similarly, if the chief minister of Tamil Nadu keeps ignoring the prime minister, the people of Tamil Nadu would undoubtedly do the same. The Chief Minister showed a lack of care by refusing to greet the Prime Minister, who said that he would support the Tamil people in every manner.
Soundararajan likened Stalin’s conduct to that of K Chandrashekar Rao, the chief minister of Telangana, who had refused to attend Modi’s visit but was repelled by the populace in the elections that followed. She threatened that the people of Tamil Nadu would “ignore” the Prime Minister in the same way if Stalin persisted in disregarding his efforts.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi waved off a train and a ship from the road bridge, saw the bridge’s functioning, and officially opened the new Pamban Rail Bridge, India’s first vertical lift sea bridge, on Sunday.
At the Ramanathaswamy temple in Rameswaram, he also conducted pooja and darshan.
