DMK MP Kanimozhi criticised the Central government, saying “insulting Tamil Nadu has become a habit”

New Delhi: DMK MP Kanimozhi attacked the Union Government after a heated political dispute in the Parliament between the opposition and treasury benches over the National Education Policy, delimitation, and other matters. He claimed that the center had “made it a habit” to disparage Tamil Nadu on a daily basis.

“The Union Government has a daily practice of disparaging Tamil Nadu. It was the Minister of Education yesterday. The Finance Minister has insulted the Tamil Nadu government on her own initiative. By providing Tamil Nadu with initiatives, they give the impression that they are doing some good. You can’t simply insult people every day,” the DMK MP told reporters on Tuesday.

Kanimozhi and other DMK MPs demonstrated their opposition to the National Education Policy (NEP) and delimitation earlier today on the grounds of Parliament.

The party was also against the prior statements made by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, as well as the three-language formula in the NEP.

Because we need to sign the NEP and the three-language policy, the Union Government is refusing to provide Tamil Nadu the money that is due. “They are destroying Tamil Nadu’s children’s future,” Kanimozhi said.

“They have no authority to deny Tamil Nadu children the money they need.” Dharmendra Pradhan’s response yesterday was quite harsh, accusing us of being dishonest and the Tamil Nadu people of being primitive. We don’t anticipate him to be speaking this language. It’s completely undemocratic. “We anticipate an apology,” she said.

The National Education program (NEP) has drawn criticism from Congress MP K Suresh, who claims that the central government pushed the program without seeking input from academics and state governments. What the government really wants to do, he said, is “saffronize the entire education system.”

“Changing education policy is a very serious issue,” K Suresh told the media report. The federal government introduced a new education strategy without first engaging academics or state governments. The whole educational system is gonna be saffronized.

N K Premachandran, a member of the Revolutionary Socialist Party (RSP), also expressed the party’s position on significant problems affecting the populace, stressing collaboration with the administration while bringing up significant public concerns.

“For the true benefit of the people, we shall demonstrate and bring up their concerns in Parliament. However, we would also work with the administration to ensure that the House is properly handled,” Premachandran said.
The delimitation problem was one of the main topics Premachandran addressed. He emphasized that the delimitation process should not punish states that have complied with the family planning initiatives of the Government of India.
