Bangladesh Hindu protest

Thousands of Hindus on Saturday protested in Dhaka and Chattagram, demanding protection from attacks against their temples and homes after riots ran for days elsewhere.

In Dhaka’s Shahbag, Hindu protesters had been blocking traffic for more than three hours on Saturday. Among other things, they have been demanding special courts to try those accused of persecuting minorities as well as 10 per cent parliamentary seats for them and the enactment of a minority protection law.
