Balochistan: The Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC), a prominent Baloch human rights organization, called for an end to the “Baloch genocide” and revealed the information of two Baloch youths who were kidnapped by force on Friday.

BYC claimed in a post on X that Sajjad, a law student, was kidnapped from Islamabad and that Qurash Ahmed, a laborer, had been forced to vanish from Kech, Balochistan. Both young people were 22 years old.

Many people, especially activists, journalists, and political leaders, are kidnapped by state forces or unidentifiable parties in Balochistan, where enforced disappearances continue to be a serious human rights concern.
The Baloch nationalism movement, which calls for more autonomy and rights, is often connected to these disappearances.

According to the Balochistan Post, Pakistani authorities allegedly arrested and abducted a Baloch kid who was working as a security guard at a law institution in Turbat, Balochistan, earlier on Thursday.

The missing person was recognized as Sangabad resident Saeed Baloch, who had been employed at the institution for a number of years.

Witnesses said Saeed Baloch was held by Pakistani soldiers in the western area of Turbat prior to his abduction, according to the Balochistan Post. His family and the neighborhood are upset because his present whereabouts are unclear.

In Balochistan, where activists and human rights organizations have expressed concerns about state-led kidnappings, this occurrence is part of a concerning pattern of enforced disappearances.

The government often denies any participation, which exacerbates worries of further persecution and brutality, while families of the vanished strive greatly for justice. Both domestically and internationally, the issue has drawn significant censure.

A persistent and concerning problem in Pakistan, especially in Balochistan, has been the enforced disappearances of Baloch people. State security forces, including the military and intelligence services, have targeted the Baloch community because they want more autonomy and rights.
