According to the Ministry of Economy and Industry, giving importers more choices should boost competition, enhance selection, and reduce costs.

Israel has always had stringent criteria for the quality of all appliances that are imported into the nation. It is anticipated that this reform—the implementation of European importing standards—will contribute to a reduction in living expenses.

Cooking ovens, stoves, grills, toasters, food processors, blenders, mixers, meat grinders, food storage and eating utensils made of ceramic and glass, coffee makers, refrigerators, tampons, carpets, and disposable and reusable plastic are some of the items that fall under the third wave.
