Pakistani passengers stranded in Bangkok for the last two days due to technical fault in Thai Airways flight

Islamabad: According to ARY News, Pakistani travelers traveling from Sydney to Pakistan have been stranded in Bangkok for the last two days due to a technical problem with a Thai Airways aircraft. According to accounts, passengers were first kept waiting for a different aircraft at the Bangkok airport for six hours.

However, according to ARY News, Thai Airways canceled the planned trip after no plans were made, putting passengers in a difficult situation.

The guests’ suffering was exacerbated by the airline’s provision of lodging at a hotel around an hour and a half away from the airport, which lacked adequate amenities.

Many travelers also missed their connecting flights as a result of the airline’s poor management, according to ARY News. The impacted travelers, who are now stuck in Bangkok, have requested aid from Pakistani officials.

According to Bangladeshi government authorities on Monday, Fly Jinnah, an airline located in Karachi, would shortly begin operating flights between Dhaka and Karachi.

A direct aviation connection between Bangladesh and Pakistan would soon be established, they added, after the opening of a direct maritime route between the two cities.

“Fly Jinnah’s proposal to run direct flights between Bangladesh and Pakistan has been approved by the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB),” said Abdul Naser Khan, Additional Secretary to Bangladesh’s Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism.

Without providing any details, he informed the media outlet, “We will sign a deal to resume Dhaka-Karachi direct flights.”

According to the authorities, Bangladesh recently inked an agreement with Pakistan to import 50,000 tons of rice. The temporary administration in Bangladesh has already removed the ban on Pakistani visas.

“Now the relations between Pakistan and Bangladesh have started a new era,” said Iqbal Hussain Khan, Bangladesh’s High Commissioner to Pakistan, in January. The relationships will be improved in a number of ways. There are currently no direct flights operating between the two nations. However, the people of both nations have demanded it.

Khan said that more people-to-people ties have been strengthened as a result of Bangladeshi patients starting to come to Pakistan for medical care.
