There was a heated exchange between the US President and the Ukrainian President in front of media persons in the Oval Office
Washington, DC: In front of reporters, US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy got into a violent and unpleasant altercation in the Oval Office.

In the current war with Russia, Trump said that the Ukrainian president was unwilling to seek an early ceasefire. Without attending a scheduled news conference with Trump or signing a highly anticipated minerals deal, Zelenskyy departed the White House earlier than expected.
“He (Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy) says that he wants to come back right now, but I can’t do that,” Trump told reporters after the meeting at the Oval Office. They need to have a ceasefire right now. There may be an instant truce. Signing an agreement that will take time is necessary if you want to stop the conflict. It requires time.
“I want it to end immediately, and I think if you had a ceasefire, it would be a ceasefire, a real one that would end it,” he stated, restating his desire for the conflict to end soon.
“Volodymyr Zelenskyy is not interested in doing it. I want it to be over now. “Now, I want a ceasefire,” he continued.
Trump claims that the backing Zelenskyy gets from the US has an impact on his stance. “So, suddenly, he is a big shot because he has the United States on his side,” he continued. We will either stop it or let him battle it out, and even if he does, it won’t be simple because he won’t win without us.
“That was not a man (Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy) that wanted to make peace, and I am only interested if he (Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy) wants to end the bloodshed,” Trump said in his criticism of Zelenskyy.
“I want to make peace, Zelenskyy had to declare. He is not required to stand there and recite bad statements against Putin. I wish to make peace, he must say. He said, “His people are dying, and I don’t want to fight a war any longer.”
Trump maintained that a negotiated agreement would be the only way to settle the conflict and that Zelenskyy lacked the “cards” to do so. “I just want to get a deal done, and if the deal happens, good,” he said. “But you can’t embolden somebody that does not have the cards.”
“We will not continue to battle. Either we will end the conflict or we will let them go and wait to see what occurs. Let them battle it out. I want someone who will create peace, whether or not he is capable of doing so, but I want someone who will make peace once again. The cards are not with him. He has all the cards when we sign up, but it doesn’t guarantee he can fight. He must put an end to the violence and the deaths. Hundreds of thousands of troops are being lost by him. The US president said, “It’s time to stop the death.”
During the Oval Office discussion, US Vice President JD Vance informed Zelenskyy that diplomacy is needed to end the conflict and encouraged him to be more appreciative of Trump’s efforts to stop Russia from destroying Ukraine.
“Ukraine needs just and lasting peace, and we are working exactly for that,” Zelenskyy said in a post on X.
