DGR successfully organized job fair at Air Force Station Pune
Pune: To provide a single platform for ex-servicemen (ESM) looking for new jobs, the Directorate General of Resettlement (DGR), Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare, Ministry of Defense, successfully held a job fair at the Air Force Station in Pune.

Over 2,500 ex-servicemen from the Army, Navy, and Air Force registered for career prospects at the event, which was held on Friday, according to an official announcement. The Job Fair included over 1,000 job openings in a variety of areas from more than 50 reputable firms.
Following interviews and screening procedures, the chosen applicants will be placed in positions ranging from project directors and strategic planners to mid- and senior-level managers and senior supervisors. This program gave veterans a great chance to demonstrate the technical know-how, leadership abilities, and administrative savvy they developed during years of devoted military service. Corporates profited by having access to a pool of very talented, well-behaved, and seasoned personnel.
Furthermore, a number of businesses showcased entrepreneurship models, providing veterans with an alternate career path that allows them to launch their own businesses.
Maj Gen SBK Singh, SM, Director General (Resettlement), DGR, and Dr. Niten Chandra, IAS, Secretary, Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare (DESW) officially opened the job fair. Air Vice Marshal R Ravishankar, AOC, Advanced Headquarters, SWAC, also attended the occasion.
Numerous distinguished veterans from the area, including Air Vice Marshal NS Vaidya, VSM (Retd), attended. The occasion was also attended by Prashant Girbane, President of MCCIA, who was the Corporate Guest of Honor.
The presence of senior authorities, such as ADG, DRZ (South), and AOC 2 Wg, emphasized the significance of this program in aiding ex-servicemen.
