The chief minister said in the State Assembly during the UP budget session, “They (Samajwadi Party) did all in their power to discredit Prayagraj. You were disseminating false information about Prayagraj. “Jiski jaisi drishti waisi uski srishti,” as someone has correctly said… They were trying to discredit Prayagraj. While 28,000 individuals were reunited with their relatives during Maha Kumbh, some members of Parliament claimed that thousands of people had perished during the event.

He said that the SP and Congress had turned against the nation in their battle against the BJP and that their only goal was to discredit it.

“The Congress and Samajwadi Party merely want to discredit India. Even though they may be battling the BJP, they sometimes turn against India in the process,” he said.

According to Yogi Adityanath, the BJP administration has been providing funds to the state’s citizens in accordance with its policies, without discrimination. He said that the Samajwadi Party, while it was in power, only provided funds to those who were affiliated with the party.

“The public has been receiving financial assistance from the ‘Mukhyamantri Vivekadhin Kosh’ for the last eight and a half years, with no distinction made based on caste, geography, or language. Only members of the Samajwadi Party received financial support while the party was in power. According to the policy, funds are distributed to the people of Uttar Pradesh by the BJP administration without any kind of discrimination,” he said.

The chief minister of Uttar Pradesh also outlined the accomplishments of his administration, claiming that medical colleges had been established in each of the state’s districts during the BJP’s tenure.

Only 17 government medical institutions were constructed in Uttar Pradesh between independence and 2017. A medical college is being constructed in each district since the formation of our administration,” he said.

February 20 marked the beginning of the current budget session, which will end on March 5. On February 20, the annual budget for the fiscal year 2025–2026—which is anticipated to exceed Rs 8 lakh crore—will be unveiled.
