The White House shared a message on X that said, “@FBIDirectorKash has officially been sworn in as the Director of the FBI by @AGPamBondi.” “It’s time to bring justice and honesty back to the FBI. “Restore America’s safety,” the tweet said.

The Bhagavad Gita was used to administer the oath of office to Indian-American Kash Patel, who was inducted as the ninth FBI Director on Friday. Other family members were sitting in the front row, while Patel’s girlfriend and family stood next to him as he took the oath.

After being approved by the US Senate as the ninth FBI director to follow Christopher Wray, Kash Patel was sworn in by US Attorney General Pam Bondi in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, according to Fox News.
“I am living the American dream,” Patel said after taking the oath, adding that a “first-generation Indian is about to lead the law enforcement agency of the greatest nation on earth.”

“If you believe that the American dream is no longer alive, look right here,” he remarked. “I am living the American dream. You are speaking with a first-generation Indian who will soon be in charge of the world’s greatest country’s law enforcement department. There is nowhere else where it might occur.

Additionally, he pledged a strong commitment to the FBI’s accountability. Patel said, “I promise that there will be accountability within the FBI and outside of it.”

In the meanwhile, US President Donald Trump referred to Kash Patel as a “tough, strong” individual and stated his unwavering support for him.

Trump commented on Kash Patel’s inauguration as FBI Director, saying, “The agents’ respect for Kash (Patel) is one of the reasons I love him and wanted to put him in.” He will always be remembered as the greatest in that role.

It turned out that he got accepted rather easily. He is a man of strength and toughness. He has certain views. In a stunning declaration, Trey Gowdy said that people are unaware of Kash’s extraordinary character. There was no question once he stated that. It was a significant declaration from a well-respected centrist,” Trump said.

The White House hailed Kash Patel’s confirmation as the next FBI director on Thursday, calling it a critical step in carrying out President Trump’s plan to restore integrity and enforce the rule of law.

The White House also emphasized that the FBI would now return to its primary goal of impartially and fairly upholding the law.

“@FBIDirectorKash Patel’s confirmation as FBI Director is a crucial step in executing President Trump’s agenda to restore integrity and uphold the rule of law,” the White House tweeted in a post shared on X.

“The FBI will serve the American people and refocus on its core mission: enforcing justice fairly and without bias,” the announcement said.

Patel thanked the Senate for confirming him as FBI director on Thursday and pledged to transform the organization into one that is “transparent, accountable, and committed to justice.”

Patel emphasized his dedication to rebuilding public confidence in the FBI and thanked President Trump and Attorney General Bondi for their assistance.

The remainder of the Republican Party, including Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, who had previously blocked other Trump nominations, supported Patel, despite Republican Senators Susan Collins of Maine and Lisa Murkowski of Alaska opposing the candidacy, according to NBC News.

All of the Senate Democrats voted against him, and the confirmation was approved by a slim 51-49 majority.
