US President Trump: PM Narendra Modi is a much “tough negotiator” than him
Washington, DC: On Thursday (local time), US President Donald Trump emphasized that there isn’t even a race and said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a “tougher negotiator” than him. During a joint news conference with Prime Minister Modi, he said these things.

Trump said, “He (PM Narendra Modi) is a much tougher negotiator than me, and he is a much better negotiator than me,” when asked who of them was a harsher negotiator today. Not even a competition exists.
Trump referred to the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC) as one of the major economic routes and said that the US and India had decided to collaborate on its construction. According to him, the route will go from Israel to Italy and then to the United States.
“We agreed to work together to help build one of the greatest trade routes in all of history,” Trump remarked on IMEC. It will link our partners via roads, railroads, and many underwater cables as it travels from India to Israel to Italy and then to the United States. It’s a significant advancement. It will cost a lot of money, and we have already spent some, but we will need to invest much more to maintain our progress and position as leaders. I’m happy to say that, based on today’s news, the US and India have the strongest relationship I’ve ever seen. Our relationship, in my opinion, is the finest that two presidents of two nations have ever had.
The IMEC is made up of a Northern Corridor that links the Gulf area to Europe and an Eastern Corridor that links India to the Gulf region. Road transport routes, a railroad, and a ship-rail transit system will all be part of it. On the margins of the 2023 G20 Summit in India, the United States, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, the European Union, Italy, France, and Germany signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on IMEC.
President Trump made another significant statement, stating that the United States would boost military sales to India and set the stage for eventually supplying it with F-35 stealth aircraft. Additionally, he reiterated the Quad partnership’s commitment to preserving Indo-Pacific peace and tranquility.
“We will boost military sales to India by billions of dollars beginning this year. Additionally, we are clearing the path for India to eventually get F-35 stealth aircraft. The Prime Minister and I reaffirm the strong collaboration among the United States, India, Australia, and Japan, which is vitally critical to maintaining peace, prosperity, and calm in the Indo-Pacific,” Trump said. In 2017, my administration revitalized the Quad security alliance.
The US president also announced agreements on trade routes and energy import arrangements.
“The Prime Minister and I also came to a significant energy accord that would guarantee the United States will be India’s top supplier of natural gas and oil, ideally the top supplier. In a historic move for the US nuclear sector, India is also changing its legal framework to accept US nuclear technology, which is the best available in the Indian market, according to Trump.
“We decided to collaborate in order to help construct one of the most important trade routes in history. It will link our partners, highways, railroads, and underwater cables as it travels from India to Israel to Italy and then to the US. It’s a significant development,” he said.
