Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Dev Sai said that he will go to Prayagraj along with the state leaders to take a holy dip in the Maha Kumbh

Raipur: As part of the current Mahakumbh Mela 2025, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said that he, the Council of Ministers, the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, the Governor, MPs, and MLAs would go to Prayagraj on Thursday to take a sacred bath.

In an interview with the media, CM Sai thanked the Speaker of the UP legislative assembly and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for inviting him to the Mahakumbh.

“To take a sacred plunge in Maha Kumbh, our Council of Ministers, Speaker of our Legislative Assembly, Governor, Members of Parliament, and MLAs are all traveling to Prayagraj. “Thank you for inviting us, UP CM Yogi Adityanath and the UP assembly speaker,” CM Sai remarked.

CM Sai’s wife, Kaushalya Sai, said that she will offer prayers for the state of Chhattisgarh and ask for its blessings. “To get additional energy to support the state, we are traveling to the Maha Kumbh to ask Maa Ganga for her blessings. She told reporters, “I will offer prayers for the state of Chhattisgarh.”

In the meanwhile, the government reports that the Magh Purnima “snan” ended satisfactorily on Wednesday.

The end of the snan’ was a significant milestone, according to Anuj Jha, secretary of the Urban Development Department.

“Maghi Purnima’s snan has ended well. For us, it represents a significant turning point. In the last month, crores of pilgrims and lakhs of Kalpavasis have come here. The nodal department was Urban Development, and everything was organized well. Speaking to the media report, Jha stated.

Officials report that as of February 11, 2025, there have been about 462.5 million devotees who have conducted snan since the festival’s inception. With additional auspicious bathing dates planned in the next days, it is anticipated that the foot traffic will continue to rise as the mela goes on.

Director General of Police (DGP) Prashant Kumar of Uttar Pradesh provided further details on the plans for Mahakumbh’s fifth snan, Magh Purnima snan, on Wednesday. He said that lessons were learned from the accident that occurred during Mauni Amavasya.

He said that in order to guarantee better arrangements for the devotees, the management strategy of “Build Back Better” was put into practice and community input was also gathered.

“This is the 5th snan of Maha Kumbh 2025,” the DGP told the media report. After this, there will be the Snan of Maha Shivratri. There was an accident on Mauni Amavasya. We took a lesson from it and used fresh methods. ‘Build back better’ is a management approach.We adopted new methods and improved ourselves by using the community’s input.

Beginning on Paush Purnima (January 13, 2025), Mahakumbh 2025 is the biggest spiritual and cultural event in the world, drawing followers from all over the world. The spectacular extravaganza will go on till February 26th, Mahashivratri.
