Israeli startup nT-Tao reaches a milestone with the successful development of MEGA
Tel Aviv: With the successful creation of its Modular Energy Generator Architecture (MEGA), Tel Aviv-based fusion energy pioneer nT-Tao has reached a significant milestone. The precise, high-power energy required for plasma heating and magnetic coil management in fusion reactors is delivered by this high-efficiency pulsed power system.

MEGA provides a small, scalable solution that can supply more than 10 MW/m², has a wide frequency range, and integrates easily, in contrast to conventional bulky power systems.
“After extensive research, it became clear that no existing power electronics system could meet the unique needs of our compact fusion design that includes higher breakdown voltage, greater peak currents, faster switching times, and repeatable results,” said Oded Gour-Lavie, co-founder and CEO.
“We developed and built MEGA from the ground up—a sophisticated, forward-thinking power architecture that enables us to satisfy today’s needs and smoothly grow for future developments—instead of adapting old technologies. This accomplishment demonstrates our team’s dedication to innovation and the search for compact fusion energy that is economically feasible,” Gour-Lavie said.
