Raipur Police and Anti-Terrorist Squad arrested three Bangladeshis from Mumbai in an operation

Raipur: In an operation on Monday, the Raipur Police and Anti-Terrorism Squad detained three suspected Bangladeshis at Mumbai Airport. Three suspects were transported from Mumbai Airport to Raipur by the Raipur police and ATS.

Lal Umed Singh, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), told the reporters that the police had placed all three on a three-day detention.

“Mohammad Ismail, Sheikh Akbar, and Sheikh Sajan are three individuals who were detained on suspicion of being Bangladeshis.

The papers discovered alongside them have sparked suspicions, which the police are looking into. All three have now been sent to Raipur on transit remand after being apprehended by ATS in Mumbai. “All three have been placed on a three-day remand by the police,” he said.

“During the investigation, documents will be compiled and inquiries will be made on all aspects, after which further action will be taken,” added SSP Singh.

On Monday, Mumbai Police arrested 16 Bangladeshi invaders after conducting searches in Mankhurd, Vashi Naka, Kalamboli, Panvel, Kopri Thane, Kalyan, and Mumbra on the directive of Deputy Commissioner of Police Praveen Mundhe.

Seven Bangladeshi nationals who had been residing illegally in Mahul village in Chembur for the last five years were taken into custody by Mumbai’s RCF Police earlier on Friday.

According to the Mumbai Police, three males and four women from Bangladesh were taken into custody. All of the people that were arrested had a case filed against them.

Following a search on a construction site by a squad from the Central Crime Branch acting on sensitive information, the Nashik Police detained eight citizens of Bangladesh on February 6.

Suspects were arrested after the operation because they were unable to provide documentation proving their Indian citizenship.

According to an official, Delhi Police apprehended three Bangladeshi nationals who were dwelling illegally in the Central Delhi area on Saturday and deported eighteen others.

“As of right now, 21 Bangladeshi nationals who were unlawfully residing in India have been targeted in the Central District’s special drive,” DCP Central M. Harshavardhan told the media report. Three of them have been detained or arrested, and 18 have been deported. In this case, two FIRs have been filed.
