The mail ballots will be tallied first. At 8:30 a.m., the Electronic Voting Machines (EVM) will open.
Every security measure has been implemented. On February 5, voting for the 70-member parliament took place, and 60.54 percent of voters turned out.
While the BJP is working hard to regain power in the National Capital after more than 20 years, the AAP is aiming for a third straight term.
Sandeep Dikshit, the Congress candidate for the New Delhi seat, said on Saturday that he is unaware of any post-election partnership between his party and the Aam Aadmi Party since it is a decision made by the high command.
“I don’t know anything about the alliance,” Dikshit told the media report. The top command made the choice. Permit the votes to be counted.
According to the majority of exit polls published on Wednesday, the BJP was ahead of the AAP. But according to AAP officials, the party’s performance has always been understated by exit polls. They said they were certain they could regain power.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s BJP campaign attacked the AAP for renovating Arvind Kejriwal’s home while he was chief minister and for allegedly contaminating the Yamuna River.
The PM also criticized Kejriwal by using the names “Aapda” and “Sheesh Mahal.”.
In the meanwhile, the AAP emphasized its “performance” throughout its eleven-year term in the education sector. The BJP would “stop the free education” if it took power, according to Kejriwal.
In addition to holding rallies, Rahul Gandhi, a Congress MP and the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, attacked Kejriwal and prominent AAP figure Manish Sisodia for their suspected involvement in the Delhi excise policy “scam” case.
AAP leader and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is running against Congressman Sandeep Dikshit and BJP candidate Parvesh Verma in New Delhi, one of the key seats.
Delhi Chief Minister Atishi is up against Congress candidate Alka Lamba and BJP candidate Ramesh Bidhuri. The heads of the three parties engaged in acrimonious disputes throughout the campaign.
The Congress, which ruled Delhi for 15 years in a row, has lost both of the most recent assembly elections and has not been able to secure any seats.
The AAP has swept Delhi’s previous two assembly elections, but after more than 20 years, the BJP is hoping to reverse the trend and regain control of the National Capital.
