Chief Minister Atishi expressed confidence in her party’s victory in the Delhi Assembly elections

New Delhi: Atishi, the AAP leader and chief minister of Delhi, expressed confidence in her party’s victory in the Delhi Assembly elections on Saturday. She also confirmed that the people of Delhi, including those in her Kalkaji constituency, would back the AAP and give Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal a resounding mandate.

She predicted that the AAP will win a landslide victory and that Arvind Kejriwal, the party’s national convenor, would be elected Delhi’s fourth chief minister with a landslide majority.

“This has not been an ordinary election; it has been a fight between the good and evil, a fight between work and (gundagardi) hooliganism,” Atishi told reporters outside her home today. I really hope that the people of Delhi’s Kalkaji constituency and the whole state would support the incumbent party, the Aam Aadmi Party, and Arvind Kejriwal.”

“Arvind Kejriwal will become the Chief Minister of Delhi for the fourth time with a huge majority,” she said.

Looking back on the party’s history, Atishi remembered how the AAP started out without any financial or political support but was able to win over the people with its governance model.

“The Aam Aadmi Party had little resources when it first entered politics, if you look at its history. We lacked authority and financial strength. “Back then, no one could have predicted that the AAP would be successful in politics,” she remarked.

She also emphasized that development and governance, not religion or vote-bank concerns, are the foundation of AAP politics.

“We don’t engage in vote-bank politics or religious politics. What we have is God’s grace and the affection of the Delhi people. “Today, I hope we experience the love and blessings of the people of the national capital once more,” she said.

As the Delhi Election 2025 vote counting gets underway at 8 am, Delhi Chief Minister Atishi and the AAP candidate from Kalkaji, Atishi, arrived at the Meerabai DSEU counting center in Maharani Bagh.

Arvind Kejriwal’s AAP is running for a fourth term in a row in Delhi, relying on its achievements in public welfare, healthcare, and education.

In a fierce competition for the capital, the party will mainly square off against the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Voter registration for the crucial Delhi Assembly elections has started.

While the BJP is working hard to regain power in the National Capital after more than 20 years, the AAP is aiming for a third straight term.

According to the majority of exit polls published on Wednesday, the BJP was ahead of the AAP. Exit polls, according to AAP officials, have typically understated the party’s success. They said they were certain they could regain power.

Important seats include New Delhi, where former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is running against Parvesh Verma of the BJP and Sandeep Dikshit of the Congress.

Delhi Chief Minister Atishi is up against Congress candidate Alka Lamba and BJP candidate Ramesh Bidhuri. The heads of the three parties engaged in acrimonious disputes throughout the campaign.

The Congress, which ruled Delhi for 15 years in a row, has lost both of the most recent assembly elections and has not been able to secure any seats.

The AAP has swept Delhi’s previous two assembly elections, but after more than 20 years, the BJP is hoping to reverse the trend and regain control of the National Capital.
