“Everyone saw the industry’s reaction to this one of the special summits… They were joyful and spoke their opinions as well. Speaking to the media, the chief minister said that more than Rs 90.51 lakh crore in investment offers had been received.
She said that basalt mining will start on Thursday as part of the Deucha-Pachami project. “The Deucha-Pachami project, which is Asia’s second-largest coal mine, will commence tomorrow with basalt mining,” she said.
In response to a question regarding why the summit was being held, Banerjee said that it was intended to inspire the next generation to invest and generate more job possibilities. “I am asked why I’m hosting this business conference. I informed them that while we initiated it, all other states are now following suit. What’s wrong with it, then? Future generations and our younger ones need to be inspired to invest more and generate more jobs. Our youthful generation cannot exist without work. We must proceed for them. One of the best and safest places to invest is Bengal,” she remarked.
Earlier, Banerjee thanked the corporate delegations that attended the summit and recognized the work of well-known entrepreneur Mukesh Ambani to make Kolkata a “gateway” for his firm to reach a global audience.
“Mukesh Ambani has promised us that Kolkata would be Jio’s primary business in the future and that it will serve as the entry point to the rest of the globe. Speaking to the crowd at the summit, the CM praised you and your family for your action.
