KGMU announces a prestigious gold medal named after Tripura CM Manik Saha to recognise outstanding students
Lucknow: To honor exceptional students in the area of dental sciences, King George’s Medical University (KGMU) in Lucknow has announced a renowned gold prize in the name of Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha.
The student with the greatest honor in KGMU‘s Dental Sciences department will receive the gold medal each year, recognizing their outstanding academic performance and contributions to the field.
The choice to honor Manik Saha, a well-known dentist by trade, has a big influence on the medical and academic fields, especially in terms of improving dental treatment.
The program seeks to support the expansion of dentistry education in the nation and to reward academic performance.
At a special event held at KGMU, the news was made, and Saha’s services to the advancement of medical education and healthcare in India were commended by university authorities.
In addition to becoming a symbol of excellence, the gold medal will serve as motivation for the next generations of dentists.
Manik Saha, a former dental surgeon, conveyed his appreciation for the honor and emphasized the significance of high-quality education in forming the future of medical professionals.
He urged pupils to keep learning new things and being the best at what they do.
“Those who graduate from King George’s Medical College are referred to as Georgians,” Manik Saha stated during the event. The institution will shortly commemorate its 100th anniversary. I was invited to the college for a felicitation ceremony when I was there a while back. I received congratulations from the university’s vice chancellor. Following that, I received congratulations from my own department, the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery department. The institution, which was once known as a medical college, is now King George Medical University, I found out during our talk.
According to what I’ve been told, the best students in my department will get a gold medal in my honor. Naturally, this makes me pleased. As a former student at that institution, I can’t think of anything more satisfying than seeing high achievers get gold medals in my honor. “I will thank KGMC and the Vice Chancellor, as well as my current and former teachers and my colleagues who continue to teach there,” Saha stated.
“This is a matter of great pride for the people of Tripura, and I will thank everyone for this recognition,” he said.
“I am very happy and proud to hear that King George’s Medical University has decided to award a gold medal in the name of Tripura’s popular Chief Minister, Manik Saha, to the top-performing students,” said Subrata Dey, secretary of the Tripura Cricket Association (TCA).
“King George’s Medical University, where Chief Minister Manik Saha finished his studies, has decided to award a gold medal in his name to the top students,” said social activist Tapash Roy. Hearing this makes me really proud, and I send him my best wishes.
“King George’s Medical University is one of the oldest and most renowned medical universities,” said Sankar Roy, medical superintendent of Agartala Medical College Hospital. A gold award in honor of Professor Manik Saha, the chief minister of our state, was just introduced by the institution. The award was created to honor his skill and legacy as a student who finished his post-graduation studies in oral and maxillofacial surgery at this university.
“This gold medal will be given out starting this year. We are quite happy and glad to be Tripurans, especially because it has to do with the medical field, which makes us even happier. In addition to administering the Chief Minister’s responsibilities, Sir is in charge of our Health Department. “I hope you live a long and happy life, sir,” he continued.
