Himachal Pradesh police bust interstate gang
Shimla: As part of Mission Clean, Himachal Pradesh Police have apprehended an interstate gang that was engaged in drug supply activities in many districts. According to SP Sanjeev Kumar, a total of 17 arrests have been made, nine of which have occurred in the last 24 hours.
Using an internet business model, the gang ran a significant supply chain, and Sandeep Shah was one of the main players in charge of the network. To distribute the narcotics locally, the gang used “super spreaders” or merchants. More than 200 persons were engaged in the operation, according to investigations.
“Under Mission Clean, we have taken down an interstate gang that was engaged in narcotics supply activities in our areas. Nine of the 17 arrests we have made have occurred in the last 24 hours. The thieves use an internet business strategy in this vast supply chain. This chain was run by Sandeep Shah, one of the important players. They used super spreaders,’ or merchants, at the local level. More than 200 individuals are engaged in this, we discovered,” SP Sanjeev Kumar told the media report.
Since January, the police have been aggressively targeting the gang, leading to the registration of 21 charges and the arrest of more than 50 people. “We got good catches in January and arrested over 50 people and registered 21 cases,” said SP Kumar.
The raid is a component of Mission Clean, a continuous effort to eradicate drug-related offenses in the area. To find and capture more members of the network, further investigations are being conducted.
