Swami Chidanand Saraswati told the media report, “We told everyone at our camp that we would not be doing snan together today as soon as I learned about the stampede. Everyone is encouraged to swim in the Ganga Ghat that is closest to them. ‘Samoohik snan’ has been canceled. At this time, everyone’s service and well-being will come first. For the people hurt in the event, we have prayed. We are going to the Sangam to meet with folks and victims after canceling all of our events.”

Baba Ramdev, a proponent of yoga, held a symbolic prayer and “snan” rite earlier today to aid in the healing of those hurt in the tragedy. He also sent his best wishes and prayers to those impacted.
“We have taken a holy dip today, keeping the injured persons in our prayers and wishing them a speedy recovery,” Ramdev told ANI. Today, we performed a symbolic “snan” and offered prayers for everyone’s welfare.

“Today’s snan was for the welfare of the world,” Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Avdheshanand Giri Maharaj of Juna Akhara told the media report. I would want to offer my condolences for the tragedy. I wish the wounded people’s families find strength. Our Shobha Yatra has been postponed for today as a result.

Early on Wednesday morning, a stampede-like scenario broke out at the Mahakumbh in Prayagraj, injuring many people. This episode happened on the auspicious festival of Mauni Amavasya, which is also the day of the Second Shahi Snan, when millions of devotees congregated at the confluence of the Ganga and Yamuna rivers to take a holy plunge.

“A stampede-like situation arose on the Sangam routes after some barriers broke,” Special Executive Officer Akanksha Rana told the reporters. There have been some injuries. They are receiving medical attention. The problem is not serious.

One of the most important days of the Mahakumbh Mela, Mauni Amavasya draws a huge number of pilgrims from all across the nation.

Following the event, Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, was contacted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, who assured him of the Center’s complete support.

It is anticipated that between 80 and 100 million people would attend Mauni Amavasya. February 3 (Basant Panchami), February 12 (Maghi Purnima), and February 26 (Maha Shivaratri) are other noteworthy days of the Mahakumbh.
