In order to assess the situation in Prayagraj, Prime Minister Narendra Modi previously talked with Chief Minister Yogi and demanded prompt assistance.
Spiritual leader Devkinandan Thakur urged tourists not to plunge at Sangam Ghat alone after the event, stating that the whole Ganga and Yamuna had now turned into “Amrit.”
“I decided not to visit Sangam Ghat due to the enormous number of people there. I make a plea to those who do not insist on bathing only at Sangam Ghat. At the moment, the whole Yamuna and Ganga rivers are “Amrit,” he said.
Jagadguru Swami Rambhadracharya Ji also urged the followers to stay in their camps and made the same plea.
“I appeal to all the devotees that they should not insist on taking a holy dip only at the Sangam Ghat because a large crowd has gathered in Prayagraj today,” he added. They should not search for their security outside of their camps at this time.
After commotion broke out owing to enormous crowds, Ravindra Puri, president of the Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad, declared that the Akharas would not be taking part in the Snan on Wednesday in the current Mahakumbh.
Instead of today, he urged everyone to join him for a snan on Vasant Panchmi.
According to him, the event occurred as a result of devotees’ desire to go to Sangam Ghat.
According to special executive officer Akanksha Rana, there were injuries in the early hours of Wednesday as some barricades broke, creating a “stampede-like” scenario. She did, however, add that the wounded were being treated and that the condition was not serious.
