Two men were arrested for allegedly killing another man near Kondhwa police station limits in Pune
Pune: According to police on Monday, two people were taken into custody for reportedly murdering another guy close to the Kondhwa police station boundaries in Pune, Maharashtra.
Two known criminals killed the guy by hacking him close to the Kondhwa crematorium.
The assault happened at about 3:30 pm, according to the police.
A heated argument broke out between the deceased Mallesh Kupendra Koli (age 32), the accused Barish alias Barya Sanjay Khude (age 21) of Talim Chowk, Kondhwa, and Akash Shubash Mankar (age 23) of Gokul Nagar, Pune. The accused and the deceased were both drinking alcohol and knew each other.
The police claim that the argument descended into violence when Khude and Mankar reportedly killed Koli by attacking him with sticks and a cement block.
The accused has been taken into custody by the Kondhwa police, and a case has been filed in accordance with BNS articles 103(1) and 3(5). Police Sub Inspector Gavde of the Kondhwa police station conducts more inquiry.
“The murder was the consequence of a drinking-related argument between friends, and the accused are known criminals,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police Rajkumar Shinde. The accused has been taken into custody, and an investigation is being conducted.
