“We wish you all peace, prosperity, and advancement,” the message said.

Ram Naik, the governor of Uttar Pradesh at the time, proposed declaring January 24th as Uttar Pradesh Day in 2017, which marked the beginning of the commemoration of Uttar Pradesh Foundation Day. After this, Uttar Pradesh commemorated its founding day for the first time in India’s 68-year history in 2018.

India was still divided into many provinces when it gained independence from the British Raj in 1947. States were gradually formed by the union of many smaller provinces. Additionally, the United Provinces became a state on January 24, 1950, when they were formally called Uttar Pradesh.

In the meanwhile, greetings were also sent by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

According to PM Modi, the “holy land” of Uttar Pradesh has been working to write new chapters while highlighting the state’s rich cultural legacy.

I want to greet all of my brothers and sisters in Uttar Pradesh a very happy foundation day. For the last eight years, this sacred region, which has seen many mythical and historical eras in Indian culture, has been working to write new chapters in its history,” PM Modi wrote on X.

In addition to expressing confidence in the administration headed by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, PM Modi promised that the state will contribute “invaluably” to the development of a prosperous India.

“I have full faith that with the government dedicated to public welfare and the amazing talent and tireless hard work of the people here, our beloved state will make its invaluable contribution in the creation of a developed India,” PM Modi said.
