Jr NTR gathered at the ghat to pay tribute to grandfather NTR on his 29th death anniversary
Hyderabad: To commemorate the 29th anniversary of the passing of the renowned actor and former chief minister of undivided Andhra Pradesh, Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR), the Nandamuri family gathered at NTR Ghat on Saturday, January 18.
A moving homage to the legendary person who had a significant influence on Indian politics and the Telugu cinema industry marked the somber event.
One of the important family members that attended the memorial service at NTR Ghat in Hyderabad was actor Jr. NTR, who is NTR’s grandson.
The late leader’s memory was honored by the family and actor and TDP (Telugu Desam Party) leader Nandamuri Balakrishna.
Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh N. Chandrababu Naidu paid his respects to NTR by saying, “The humanitarian who brought the slogan ‘Society is the temple… People are the Gods’ to politics… NTR is a wonderful guy who improved the lives of the underprivileged. An egalitarian who gave the poor and weaker segments of society a voice in governmental authority… A reformer who gave women more authority… As we mark the anniversary of that great leader’s passing, let us honor his memory. Let’s create the egalitarian society that NTR envisioned via welfare, development, and sound administration. He demonstrated that “power means an opportunity to change the lives of the poor.” Declaring that we are dedicated to making Telugu state the best… We will put forth endless effort to fulfill NTR’s vision… On the anniversary of his passing, I honor that man of the time.

After having a heart attack at his Hyderabad home, NTR died on January 18, 1996, at the age of 72.
