Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee expressed her concern after an intruder attack Saif Ali Khan residence

New Delhi: Actor Saif Ali Khan suffered at least six injuries after an intruder attacked him at his home on Thursday, prompting West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to voice her concerns.

The West Bengal chief minister hoped that justice would be done and those involved would be held accountable while wishing the actor a speedy recovery.

Hearing about the assault on well-known actor Saif Ali Khan is really alarming. In the hopes that the law will work itself out and those at fault will be held accountable, I pray for a rapid recovery for him. During this trying moment, my prayers and thoughts are with Kareena Kapoor, Sharmila Di, and the whole family,” Banerjee said on X.

But according to a statement sent by the actor’s team, Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan is currently safe and on the mend.

“Saif Ali Khan is no longer in danger after completing surgery. The physicians are keeping an eye on his progress while he recovers. The authorities are looking into the situation, and all family members are safe,” the statement said.

Mumbai Police DCP Zone 9 member Dixit Gedam, who is a member of the team looking into the attack on actor Saif Ali Khan, stated that the inquiry is under progress.

“An investigation has begun. “I am unable to reveal the specifics,” he stated.
After an intruder allegedly approached Khan’s maid, the startling episode took place at Saif Ali Khan’s home in the Bandra building known as “Satguru Sharan.” The altercation became physical when Saif tried to step in and defuse the situation. The actor was taken to Lilavati Hospital for treatment after suffering injuries during the altercation.

Saif was taken to Lilavati Hospital at three in the morning on Thursday, according to Dr. Niraj Uttamani, the hospital’s Chief Operating Officer (COO). According to a statement from the Lilavati Hospital, Saif Ali Khan had six stab wounds, two of which were deep, one of which was close to his spine. A foreign item was also found close to his spine.

Ashoke Pandit, president of the Indian Film and Television Directors Association (IFTDA), responded to the event by telling the media report, “It is concerning that movie star Saif Ali Khan was attacked in his own home. IFTDA denounces this assault. How an intruder gets to the 12th floor and enters the residence is a matter for investigation, and the Mumbai Police are well-equipped to look into this.” The issue is with the building’s security and security services.
