Key figures such as Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh attended the meeting, which was held at the BJP headquarters. Other notable Delhi BJP leaders also attended.

Sources said that the meeting’s major emphasis was on Delhi’s remaining seats, where talks were conducted to choose the candidates for those seats.

The final list of candidates for these Delhi seats is anticipated to be announced by the BJP on Saturday, according to sources. Discussions are still going on for eight to twelve seats, however, and the BJP will have a core group meeting tomorrow to finalize them. This core group meeting will be led by Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP President JP Nadda.

The BJP’s first list of 29 candidates for the 70-member Delhi Assembly was made public on January 4. Notably, the party nominated former MP Ramesh Bidhuri to run from Kalkaji, where Delhi Chief Minister and AAP candidate Atishi is also running, and former MP Pravesh Verma to run against former Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal from the New Delhi seat.

Other members of the core group, including Union Minister Harsh Malhotra, Leader of the Opposition Vijender Gupta, Organization Secretary Pawan Rana, and Delhi BJP President Virenderaa Sachdeva, also attended the meeting. In the next days, the identities of the remaining applicants are anticipated to be revealed.

On February 5, a single phase of the Delhi Assembly elections is planned, and on February 8, the results will be announced.
