Deb began the conference by praising previous Chief Minister Manik Sarkar’s leadership and recognizing his efforts to solve the developmental and infrastructure issues that arose during his term.

He did, however, also attack the Communist Party, saying that their rule had impeded Tripura’s development and fallen short of providing sufficient services to the populace. Deb was careful to show Sarkar personal respect in spite of these comments.

Airport Director Kailash Chandra Meena gave an update on the airport’s present operating framework and other issues at the start of the meeting.

MP Deb emphasized the importance of passenger comfort and better services, saying that modernizing airport services should be accompanied by an improvement in service quality, paying particular attention to polite staff conduct and putting customers’ convenience first.

Deb also emphasized how crucial it is that all airlines using the airport start offering cargo services.

During the conference, frequent passenger grievances were also brought up, particularly about the airport’s parking facilities and auto-rickshaw services. To guarantee smoother operations, MP Deb instructed the appropriate authorities to solve these concerns as soon as possible.

Other important topics covered during the conference included assessing passenger grievances, enhancing regional air connectivity in Northeast India, expanding flights on major routes like Delhi, establishing a backup parking lane, and making use of empty airport stalls.

Additionally, Biplab Kumar Deb gave the appropriate authorities instructions to address concerns about crossing facilities and checkpoints on the outgoing route leading to the airport.

Agartala Municipal Corporation Commissioner Shailesh Kumar Yadav, West Tripura District Magistrate Vishal Kumar, and other high-ranking officials were among the dignitaries who attended the meeting.
