The PM Modi visit to Doda

As reported by media reports, on Saturday, Narendra Modi plans to visit Doda and would be the first prime minister to do so after 42 years. Dr. G Kishan Reddy, Union Minister of Coal and Mines and BJP election in-charge for Jammu and Kashmir, said that the last prime minister came in 1982.

State Police have provided multi-tier security to the two mountainous districts of Doda and Kishtwar, particularly the election rally venue within the stadium at Doda town, to ensure a peaceful and organized election campaign.

43 seats in Jammu Division are up for grabs during the 2024 Assembly Elections, given the BJP contesting all 43 concerns every party has an interest in.

The elections for J-K Assembly will take place in three phases to be held on September 18, September 25, and October 1, with counting of votes on October 8. This is going to be the first Assembly election for the J&K in 10 years and the first such exercise after the abrogation of Article 370 and 35A.
