Kolkata Rape-Murder Case: Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, whom he even referred to as “Lady Macbeth of Bengal,” would face a “social boycott,” according to West Bengal Governor C V Ananda Bose, who said on Thursday that the state administration has “failed in its duty” and has not comprehended “the sentiments of the people and society.” “Many things are rotten in the State of Bengal,” he said.

Bose said in a statement that he was dedicated to supporting the demonstrators against the August 9 tragedy at R G Kar Hospital in Kolkata, when a young doctor was sexually assaulted and killed.

“There is violence across the state, in homes, on campuses, in hospitals, and in the cities… Democracy does not mean quiet to the majority; rather, it means the silent majority. Recall that quiet equals aggression. I shall boycott the Chief Minister on a social level to show my support for the Bengali community. The Chief Minister and I will not be sharing a public platform. Additionally, I refuse to take part in any public program that includes the Chief Minister,” he said.

Bose said that he will take decisive action against the Chief Minister for disobeying constitutional norms. He claimed to have been sending instructions to the Chief Minister for compliance with Article 167 of the Constitution, which states that the Chief Minister has an obligation to notify the Governor of all decisions made by the Council of Ministers regarding the management of state affairs and proposed laws.

“I get a lot of inquiries from individuals asking what actions the governor is suggesting in the current circumstance. I remain devoted to the Indian Constitution. I’m devoted to the Bengali people. I pledge my support to the protestors and the parents of the RG Kar victim. He said, “In my opinion, the government has fallen short in its obligation to comprehend the opinions of the populace and society.

He also went after the Commissioner of Police in Kolkata. The serious criminal accusations made against Kolkata’s top law enforcement official, the commissioner of police, who is in charge of preventing crime in the city, have deeply hurt me.

The governor thought the commissioner handled the issue in a very dubious manner.

“Kolkata Police Commissioner was not invited to the Raj Bhavan Independence Day festivities, but he gatecrashed, which is illegal in nature, according to legal experts. The public demanded action against him for his apparent cooperation. The Chief Minister was also made aware of this, but nothing was done about it. According to Section 329 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, the Commissioner of Police must now take severe legal action.
