External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar reached Bhubaneswar to attend Pravasi Bharatiya Divas

Arriving in Bhubaneshwar on Monday to attend the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar expressed gratitude for the preparations made by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.

Upon arriving at the adorned airport with his spouse, Kyoko Jaishankar, Jaishankar was seen appreciating the decorations.

“I can assure you that Pravasi Bharatiya Divas will be fantastic. Fantastic preparations have been undertaken by the Chief Minister and his whole staff. “The arrangements are exquisite and magnificent,” Jaishankar told the press.

Jaishankar thought the event would be a success.
“According to the Chief Minister, all preparations are finished. Therefore, I am certain that this would be a very tremendous and successful Pravasi Bharatiya Divas when the Chief Minister arrives,” he remarked.

“Pravasi Bharatiya Divas” is a “opportunity” to introduce Odisha to the world, and the state is prepared for the massive event beginning on January 8, according to Odisha Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja on Sunday.

The 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas is scheduled to take place in Bhubaneswar from January 8–10. On Sunday, Ahuja provided information on how the state is intensifying its preparations for the occasion.

According to a Ministry of External Affairs release, the 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) Convention will be held in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, from January 8–10, 2025.

One of the government of India’s major initiatives is the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas. “Diaspora’s Contribution to a Viksit Bharat” will be the topic of the 2025 edition, which seeks to foster and celebrate the relationship between India and its Indian diaspora living abroad.

This yearly occasion provides a forum for recognizing the contributions made by the Indian diaspora to the development and prosperity of the nation.
